Now it's working again and in Google Wallet -> Your Icon Top Right -> Pay Contactless Setup -> it says "You're ready to pay contactless with your phone" and everything is ticked. You can make payments by installing the Google pay application or by directly from the website. no matter where you go with the new Google Wallet. It can be accessed with a PayPal account. On getting home and messing around, I could see that inside Google Wallet -> Your Icon Top Right -> Pay Contactless Setup -> It says in there that I don't have security requirements and it doesn't seem to have completed the set up (though it was all working for weeks and weeks before and nothing had changed as far as I'm aware) yet all things are ticked below. Google Pay is one of the best digital wallet apps for Android developed by Google. Luckily I had my physical card on me so I could pay for my fuel.
